The David Stein Show
A Celebration of Life Through Sports
The David Stein Show is the most unique show in all of talk radio. It’s a “celebration of life through sports” that touches, moves and inspires others to pay it forward. David starts each call by asking the listener to “tell me something good in your life.” By discussing the issues in sports, David creates, through radio theater, a clearing for the possibility of anything happening.

Just in the past couple of months, some amazing things have happened:

a family in North Carolina got together after 24 years of not talking to each other! That occurred after a show on “Little League Horror Stories.”
A homeless man in Arizona got the courage and spirit to put his life together because of the positive stories about sports and life he heard on the show over the past six months.
An Illinois man’s daughter was able to go to a clinic to help get her off of Zoloft and Ritalin. She was 11 years old. This happened due to a show on Ron Artest and drug use in sports. Not many positive things have happened from Ron Artest!.
And a man named Trent called the show just to tell David something good in his life. He said he was living the dream and going to as many ballparks this summer as possible. David asked how he had that kind of time. Trent then told the story of getting hit by an RPG in Iraq last year, and after 15 surgeries, he is now okay and living the dream. Trent is coming to LA to see a Dodgers game through the generosity of SNR and the listeners. He told David that this was the nicest thing anyone’s ever done for him. David responded, “no, Trent, you going to Iraq and getting blown up so we can live free is the nicest thing anyone’s ever done for us.”
Before joining Sporting News Radio, David was host of the Fox Sports Radio Morning Show and the host of World Poker Tour Radio on XM Satellite Radio.

He began his career in the suburbs of Philadelphia as a stand-up comedian where he still owns one of the longest-running comedy clubs in the country - David Stein's Reading Comedy Outlet - in Reading, PA. As a performer, he has opened up for Jerry Seinfeld, George Carlin, Steven Wright, and more!

His recent TV appearances include guest appearances on The Golf Channel, Inside Edition, The Paula Zahn Show and … yes, The Strip Poker Network (as a host, not a player!).

David Stein’s "Top 102 Top 10 Lists and Other Morning Show Stuff" was his first book, and a huge seller in Amish Country.

Winner of several awards for radio, including First Place Awards from UPI and The Philadelphia Press Association, David has broadcast LIVE from big-time events such as The US Open Golf Championship, The Masters, US Open tennis, World Series and League Championship Series NASCAR, NHRA, IRL, The Democratic and Republican National Conventions, The Presidential Inauguration; plus, he has broadcast shows from INSIDE The White House. His play-by-play duties have included baseball, football and the American Legion World Series.

David gives back to the community by hosting The Annual David Stein Easter Seals Golf Classic.

David has been the host/MC for The Los Angeles Rescue Mission Easter Day Celebration in downtown L.A.

This year, David trained and raised money for The Los Angeles AIDS Marathon. Yes, he finished in 6:02! He’s not ready to move to Kenya.

Once upon a time, David went to The Hill School in Pottstown, PA, and Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. Also, let it be known that David has a dead cat named Seve’ and lives in Los Angeles.
